Pistons explore Kyrie Irving trade options, Jalen Duren contract remains unresolved

Summary

Detroit Pistons have been in discussions regarding a potential trade for Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving, though recent reports indicate the Mavericks are not actively looking to deal him. This offseason, the Pistons aim to find a co-star for Cade Cunningham after losing key players like Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart. While Detroit showed interest in several high-profile players, including Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard, the asking prices were deemed too high. Meanwhile, negotiations with Jalen Duren for a max contract extension are ongoing, but both sides have not yet reached an agreement as they approach the end of July.
