Pistons face uncertainty with Jalen Duren ahead of 2026 season

The Detroit Pistons enter the 2026 season with concerns as Jalen Duren remains an unsigned restricted free agent. Despite reaching the Eastern Conference Semifinals last year, the team is adjusting after losing Tobias Harris, Caris LeVert, and Isaiah Stewart. While the Pistons received a solid ranking of sixth in ESPN's power rankings, they are urged to focus on developing their young core around Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson alongside resolving Duren's contract situation. The franchise aims to build on their recent success while navigating these challenges.
