Pistons show interest in trading for Kevin Durant from Rockets

The Detroit Pistons are reportedly interested in acquiring Kevin Durant from the Houston Rockets as they aim to improve their roster following a strong 2025-26 season. The potential trade comes amid ongoing contract negotiations with Jalen Duren, whose deal may impact the Pistons' salary cap. Durant, who signed a two-year, $90 million extension, could fill a void in the Pistons' wing position, following Tobias Harris's recent signing with the San Antonio Spurs. While Durant's trade remains uncertain, the Pistons possess future draft assets that could aid negotiations. Reports suggest the Pistons could use players like Duncan Robinson and Caris LeVert to facilitate the deal, increasing their payroll to approach the luxury tax threshold.
