Pitt secures home victory as UCF drops tenth consecutive road game

Pittsburgh defeated UCF 12-7 in a weather-delayed contest at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday. The Knights struggled offensively throughout the game, managing only 206 total yards and failing to score until the final three minutes. UCF quarterback Alonza Barnett III connected with Waden Charles for a 19-yard touchdown pass to end the shutout bid. Pitt relied on a strong defensive effort that included holding the Knights to less than one yard per carry and forcing a safety on an intentional grounding penalty.
