Pitt State football prepares for first meeting with West Alabama

Pitt State football travels to Livingston for its third game of the 2026 season against the University of West Alabama. This Saturday’s meeting marks the first game in the history of both programs. The Gorillas enter the matchup with an 0-2 record and have failed to score 20 points in either of their first two contests, a stretch the program has not experienced since 2010. Head coach Tom Anthony noted that the team began the 2025 season with an identical record and remains focused on overcoming the early-season adversity. Wideout Greyson Holbert emphasized that the team’s leadership group is working to integrate younger players as they prepare to depart Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for noon on Saturday.
