Pittsburgh Pirates sign outfielder Kyler Fedko to minor league contract

The Pittsburgh Pirates added outfielder Kyler Fedko to the organization on a minor league contract. Fedko became a free agent after the Minnesota Twins removed him from their 40-man roster. The outfielder is currently recovering from ACL, MCL, and LCL tears suffered in an outfield play last month. He will relocate to Bradenton to continue his rehabilitation process and hopes to return to the field next year. Fedko, the son of former sports anchor John Fedko, made his Major League debut earlier this season with the Twins. During his time at Triple-A St. Paul, he recorded 17 home runs and 17 doubles across 75 games while hitting.274.
