The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted free agent safety Juanyeh Thomas for a visit on Wednesday. Thomas previously played 36 games for the Dallas Cowboys from 2023 through 2025, starting four contests during that span. Pittsburgh is currently addressing safety depth concerns as veteran DeShon Elliott is slated to begin the season on injured reserve. Elliott will be sidelined for at least the first four regular season games. While the Steelers recently signed undrafted rookie safety Bishop Fitzgerald to their practice squad, the team remains in contact with available players at the position. Thomas provides experience on both defense and special teams, having previously returned kickoffs for the Cowboys.
