Pittsburgh Steelers receiver DK Metcalf discusses Hollow Earth conspiracy theory

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf recently detailed his belief in the Hollow Earth theory during a feature with The Athletic. Metcalf stated that he believes Antarctica contains an entrance to an interior world inhabited by another civilization. The theory, which dates back to the 17th century, is often linked to the unverified claims of explorer Admiral Richard Byrd. Metcalf noted that he shares this perspective with his quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, though he clarified he developed these views independently. On the field, Metcalf looks to improve upon a 2026 season that saw him fail to reach 1,000 receiving yards and miss time due to suspension. The Steelers organization expects an increased workload for Metcalf this season, supported by the recent acquisition of Michael Pittman Jr. to help balance the team's passing attack.
