Pittsburgh Steelers sign former New England Patriots edge rusher Bradyn Swinson

The Pittsburgh Steelers added edge rusher Bradyn Swinson to their practice squad on Tuesday. The move comes after the New England Patriots released Swinson on Sunday, the final day for NFL teams to trim rosters to 53 players. Swinson was selected by the Patriots with the 146th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. During his time in New England, he played in three games and recorded one tackle while contributing to the team's postseason run to the Super Bowl. The 24-year-old will now join the Patriots' AFC rival as they prepare for the upcoming season. Swinson is scheduled to face his former team when the Steelers play the Patriots in Week 2.
