Pittsburgh Steelers sign offensive lineman Doug Nester to practice squad

Following final NFL roster reductions, the Pittsburgh Steelers have begun constructing their 2026 practice squad. The franchise is authorized to add between 12 and 16 players to the practice unit as it transitions into the regular season. As part of these initial personnel moves, the team signed offensive lineman Doug Nester. Nester, who played at West Virginia, joins the organization after recording a productive preseason campaign. The Steelers are currently evaluating both former roster members and players released by other clubs to complete the remaining vacancies on the squad.
