Pittsburgh Steelers sign Steven Jones to the team practice squad

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed offensive lineman Steven Jones to the team practice squad on Monday. This follows his release as part of the team's final roster cuts for the 53-man squad. Jones originally joined the organization on a future contract in January 2026 after previously playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. During the most recent training camp, he competed for second-team reps at guard before sustaining an undisclosed injury in early August. Gennings Dunker filled that position during his absence. Jones appeared in all three preseason games for Pittsburgh earlier this summer before being released and clearing waivers. He previously spent the entire 2025 season on the Steelers' practice squad without being elevated to the active roster for a game.
