On October 3, Pittsford Mendon's girls volleyball team defeated Pittsford Sutherland in four sets, marking their first victory over Sutherland since at least 2009. The match took place during a 'dig pink' fundraiser for breast cancer research and featured teams ranked in the New York Volleyball Coaches Association’s Class A rankings. Sydney Harff led Mendon with 16 kills and 28 digs, while Laila Anzalone contributed 17 assists. The two teams are scheduled to meet again on October 13 in another Monroe County League match.
