Planners approve upgrades for Caddie Pavilion Bridge at Old Course

The Caddie Pavilion Bridge at The Old Course in St. Andrews is set for replacement after planners approved a proposal from the St Andrews Link Trust. The existing timber bridge will be replaced with a reinforced concrete structure, ensuring continued access for vehicles and pedestrians. The new bridge will preserve the established character of the area and maintain an important access route. Construction will involve reusing existing timber handrails and applying a more durable surfacing material.
