Pochettino becomes winningest USMNT World Cup coach with three victories
Summary

Mauricio Pochettino has made history as the winningest coach for the U.S. men's national team in World Cup history. He secured this distinction with three victories: against Paraguay and Australia in group play, and Bosnia-Herzegovina in the round of 32. Prior to taking the helm, Pochettino had never coached in a World Cup match. He replaced Gregg Berhalter in September 2024 after the U.S. men's national team exited the Copa America group stage.
