Point Park University gains full NCAA Division II membership starting in September

Point Park University in Pittsburgh has been granted full NCAA Division II membership, effective September 1. The university accelerated its provisional membership process, completing it in two years due to a waiver from the NCAA after meeting compliance, academic, and operational benchmarks early. Point Park is now a full member of both the Mountain East Conference and NCAA Division II, following an invitation to join the MEC in January 2024. The Pioneers have already had success in their sports programs, including capturing a baseball championship and qualifying for postseason play in multiple sports during the 2025-26 academic year.
