Police identify man who charged field during Yankees and Mets game

New York City Police identified Kelly Marcucci as the individual who ran onto the field at Yankee Stadium during the seventh inning of the Subway Series game on Friday. The incident occurred on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks at 9:11 p.m. Marcucci, 38, entered the left field grass while carrying a Palestinian flag and wearing a shirt reading "No Kings." Security personnel apprehended the intruder, who now faces misdemeanor charges for trespassing and interference with a professional sporting event. The game proceeded after the disruption, with the Yankees winning 6-4. Before the contest, team members and staff participated in commemorations at the site to honor those who died in 2001.
