Police officer assaulted during Old Firm match at Ibrox

A Police Scotland officer was assaulted during the Old Firm match at Ibrox on September 14. The game was part of the Premier Sports Cup, which Rangers won 3-0. Four arrests were made throughout the match, including two men for sectarian abuse and disorderly conduct. Police Chief Supt Stevie Dolan reported that despite the incidents, the match proceeded without major issues, and he commended most fans for their behavior. The arrested individuals will be reported to the procurator fiscal. There were no away supporters at the event due to a temporary arrangement following previous disturbances.
