Pontotoc welcomes back key players for playoff aspirations

Pontotoc is positioning itself for a strong playoff push this season, returning most of its starting lineup from a 19-11 campaign last year. The Warriors were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by Holmes County Central, the eventual state runner-up. Head Coach Rolley Tipler noted that the majority of the starting five is back and emphasized the development of depth among the team. Omaree Scott returns after averaging 15.9 points per game last season, joined by Dalyn Powell and Chayton Johnson, who also contributed in double digits. The team aims to build on last year's experience while integrating new players during the summer practices.
