Portsmouth baseball and softball teams earn All-OVC honors

BaseballThe Portsmouth Trojans had a strong showing in the All-Ohio Valley Conference recognitions. The baseball team featured eight players named to the All-OVC list, including Jacob Roth, who was named OVC Player of the Year, and Trevin Brooks, awarded Defensive Player of the Year. Coach Aaron Duncan was named OVC Coach of the Year for the second time. The softball team saw three players, Caitlyn Galloway, Madison Boren, and Gigi Bedard, earn First-Team All-OVC honors while two others were recognized with Honorable Mentions. Portsmouth’s baseball team finished the season with a 20-8 record, while the softball team’s record stood at 14-13.
