Post-Crescent opens voting for weekly high school athlete award nominees

The Post-Crescent has opened public voting for its weekly high school athlete award, featuring six nominees across various sports. Athletes recognized for their performances last week include Cal Calhoon from Freedom boys soccer, who recorded five goals and four assists in an 11-1 victory. Kaukauna football player Muhammad Jobe and Neenah football player Ashton VanBeek are also nominated after strong offensive outings. Other nominees include Fox Valley Lutheran soccer player Ezra Schaser, Neenah cross-country runner Sam Zilm, and Xavier volleyball player Raya Zurfluh. The previous winner was Shiocton football player Brett Singler, who garnered over 4,000 votes. Voting remains open to the public until 3 p.m. on September 12.
