Powerboat racing returns to Pittsburgh on July 4 weekend in 2027

The Formula One Powerboat National Championship will be hosted in Pittsburgh's Three Rivers on the July 4 weekend of 2027. This marks the first event in the city in a decade, organized through a three-year partnership between SportsPITTSBURGH and the International Hot Rod Association Powerboat Series. The competition will feature premier Formula One powerboats alongside Formula Lights and Tri-Hull classes racing on the Allegheny River.
