Premier League clubs close in on Monaco's transfer sales record

Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are approaching Monaco's record for transfer sales in a single window. As of August 26, Villa has generated 293.1 million euros, City 278.6 million euros, and Newcastle 275.5 million euros from player departures. Villa's significant sales include Morgan Rogers' move to Chelsea for 138 million euros. Meanwhile, City has seen sales including Rodri and Nathan Ake as they continue their squad overhaul. Newcastle's income is primarily from major sales of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, and Anthony Gordon. With several days remaining in the transfer window, all three clubs still have opportunities to exceed Monaco's 360 million euro record from 2018-19.
