Prescot Cables FC is considering a relocation as early as next season because the main stand at its Valerie Park home is nearing the end of its life. The club, which plays in the Northern Premier League West, confirmed that a recent assessment revealed the structure requires replacement or major rebuilding within three years. Knowsley Council, which purchased the stadium in 2018 to ensure the club's future, indicated that a formal funding plan for the necessary works is not currently in place. The club board is in discussions with the council and its landlord to explore both temporary and permanent venue options. While officials are working to keep the team within the town, the board stated that a move is possible to ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization.
