Preston sign Leo Leroy from Basel on three-year deal

Preston North End has secured the signing of French midfielder Leo Leroy from Basel on a three-year deal. Leroy, 26, previously played in Ligue 1 for Montpellier before his stint in Switzerland, where he made 81 appearances, scoring four goals. Preston manager Paul Heckingbottom expressed confidence that Leroy will enhance the team's quality and experience as they aim for promotion in the Championship. Preston's season opener is against local rivals Bolton on Saturday.
