Preston Stout wins NCAA men’s golf individual title in Carlsbad

Preston Stout of Oklahoma State secured the 2026 NCAA men’s golf individual title Monday at the Omni La Costa resort in Carlsbad, where the championships are concluding. This year's event, hosted by the University of Texas, is part of a five-year agreement, recently extended to 2028, following successful prior tournaments. Stout's victory earns him spots in the U.S. Open and 2027 Masters if he remains an amateur. Stanford claimed the women’s team title last week, and Farah O’Keefe won the individual championship. The men's team champion will be decided Wednesday following a playoff to determine the final bracket spots.
