Pro wrestler Andy Williams dies at 48 after collapsing during match

Professional wrestler Andy Williams, also known as The Butcher, died at age 48 following a collapse at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania, on September 5. Williams was participating in a match with tag team partner Jesse Guilmette when he collapsed at the conclusion of the event. On-site staff administered CPR before the wrestler was transported to a hospital. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner confirmed Williams died at 9:43 p.m., approximately one hour after the incident occurred. Dispatch audio suggests Williams may have hit his head on a ring post during the match. Williams was a notable musician before joining All Elite Wrestling in 2019, having performed with the band Every Time I Die and later Atomic Rule.
