Pro Wrestling EVE hints at return of former WWE title holder

Pro Wrestling EVE is an independent women’s wrestling promotion out of London that’s proudly feminist and punk rock, and for the past couple years has counted one of England’s most well-known active wrestlers among its producers and writers in AEW’s Will Ospreay. It’s also a promotion that Scottish wrestler Kay Lee Ray was champion of back in 2019. For the last six or so years, fans have known Ray as WWE’s Alba Fyre while she won the NXT UK Women’s and NXT and WWE Women’s Tag titles. Her run there ended with this year’s post-WrestleMania roster cuts, but it doesn’t look like she was released (at least not effective April 24), because she isn’t waiting 90 days to take her next booking. At least, that’s how we’re taking this announcement from Pro Wrestling EVE. We don’t think they’d capitalize the K, L, and R in “killer” if they were talking about three-time EVE champ Nikki Storm (fka Cross… plus, she owns her own indies these days). Molly Spartan has thrown out the challenge to someone for Friday June 5th, but is being ever so slightly vague with regards to this woman who she hopes will meet her in the middle of the ring at EVE 150 in London on Friday June 5th.
