Proposed trade sends Brook Lopez to Lakers for Jaden Hardy

A proposed trade framework suggests the Los Angeles Lakers could acquire center Brook Lopez from the Los Angeles Clippers. The deal would send guard Jaden Hardy and a 2031 second-round pick from the Washington Wizards to the Clippers. Lopez, 38, is entering the final year of his contract and would provide the Lakers with additional frontcourt depth and perimeter shooting. The veteran center averaged 8.5 points and 1.2 blocks last season while maintaining a 36.0% success rate from three-point range. While the move would offer the Lakers a different tactical look alongside Walker Kessler, there are currently no active discussions between the two teams. The Lakers have been active this offseason, adding several players including Collin Sexton and Quentin Grimes to build around Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
