Prosecutor's Office may drop complaint against Raul Asencio

The Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Canary Islands is reportedly preparing to withdraw its complaint against Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio. Investigated for allegedly disseminating a sex tape involving minors, Asencio may avoid prosecution if he issues a public apology in court. Previously, the prosecutor sought a 2.5-year prison sentence for Asencio. Although he denies wrongdoing, he acknowledged a mistake in showing the tape to a friend and had previously sent a letter of apology to the alleged victims. The trial is currently ongoing.
