Purdue Fort Wayne to host Purdue basketball exhibition in October

Purdue men's basketball will play an exhibition game against Purdue Fort Wayne at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum this October. Fort Wayne coach Jon Coffman has pursued this matchup for nearly a decade, first proposing it in 2016. He anticipates a strong turnout, aiming for attendance similar to the crowd of 11,076 seen during a memorable game against Indiana in 2016. The Mastodons have not faced either of the state's Big Ten schools in a regular-season game since then. Coffman expressed that the opportunity to host Purdue is exciting for local fans and adds valuable exposure to Division I basketball.
