Purdue offensive lineman Brock Brownfield sustains injury against Wake Forest

Purdue freshman left guard Brock Brownfield suffered an unspecified injury during the first quarter of Saturday's 38-36 double-overtime loss to Wake Forest. Brownfield exited the game after sustaining a hard hit to his right shoulder area while blocking downfield. He did not return to the sideline for the remainder of the contest. Coach Barry Odom stated following the game that the severity of the injury remains unknown. Marcus Easley replaced Brownfield at the left guard position for the duration of the match. The Boilermakers also played without starting left tackle Joe Tanona, who continues to manage an ankle injury.
