Purdue running back Fame Ijeboi earns top grade after season opening performance

Purdue running back Fame Ijeboi established himself as a primary offensive threat following his debut in the team's victory against Indiana State. The sophomore transfer from Minnesota recorded 117 yards of total offense and a rushing touchdown, earning the highest grade for any running back in Week 1 from PFF. Although a 63-yard touchdown run was nullified by a holding penalty, teammates and coaches noted his physicality and balance through contact. Defensive coordinator Kevin Kane, who previously worked with Ijeboi at Minnesota, facilitated the transfer to bring the 6-foot, 215-pound runner to West Lafayette. Following this opening performance, Ijeboi is scheduled to compete in Purdue's upcoming game against Wake Forest.
