PWHL teams finalize player protection lists ahead of expansion

The PWHL announced that teams expanded their player protection lists during Phase 3 of the expansion roster-building process, which concluded on June 12, 2026. Each of the eight existing teams increased their protected lists to six players. Four expansion teams—Detroit, Hamilton, Las Vegas, and San Jose—are also allowed to finalize their rosters with up to three additional players during a signing window. The next Phase 4 begins shortly, allowing expansion teams to further enhance their rosters. Noteworthy available players include Abby Roque and Kendall Coyne Schofield.
