Qiddiya Speed Park's Blade structure progresses amid construction updates

Construction of Qiddiya Speed Park's elevated Turn 1, known as the Blade, is underway in Saudi Arabia, with recent images showing significant progress. This 70-meter structure, designed by Alexander Wurz and Hermann Tilke, is part of a SAR2 billion project aimed at creating a state-of-the-art motorsport venue. Qiddiya plans for the Speed Park to feature 21 corners, 80 garages, and a projected top speed above 325 km/h. The venue is scheduled to be completed in 2026, with expectations for a Formula 1 debut in 2028, replacing the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The construction showcases ambitious engineering, merging racing surfaces with public roads.
