Quarterback recruit Chandler Dyson visits Florida State for SMU game

Four-star 2028 quarterback Chandler Dyson is scheduled to visit Florida State on Monday for the program's ACC opener against SMU. The 6-foot-4 prospect from Warner Robins High School in Georgia is currently ranked as the No. 154 recruit nationally and the No. 10 quarterback in his class. Dyson reported that Florida State remains his preferred school at this stage, citing frequent communication from quarterbacks coach Austin Tucker as a significant factor in his recruitment. During his 2025 sophomore season, Dyson recorded 2,138 passing yards with 16 touchdowns while adding 536 rushing yards and four scores. He is currently considering other offers from LSU, North Carolina, Ole Miss, and Georgia Tech. This upcoming campus visit serves as part of Florida State's ongoing effort to maintain its standing as the frontrunner for the recruit's commitment.
