Will Grier has announced his retirement from the NFL at age 31, having spent a short period with the New England Patriots. Grier joined the Patriots in September 2023 from the Bengals' practice squad but was cut at the end of November that year. He was later signed by the Carolina Panthers but has chosen to step away from football instead of continuing into training camp. Grier was a former third-round draft pick by the Panthers in 2019 and had limited playing time in the league, starting only two games during his rookie season.
