Quentin Grimes prepares for expanded role with the Los Angeles Lakers

Quentin Grimes joined the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason, signing a four-year, $60 million contract. The move reunites the 26-year-old guard with teammate Luka Doncic and coach JJ Redick. Following stints with four teams in the last two years, Grimes enters the 2026-27 season positioned to start alongside Doncic, Austin Reaves, and Walker Kessler. Grimes previously recorded an average of 21.9 points and 4.5 assists as a starter for the Philadelphia 76ers late in the 2024-25 campaign.
