Racing Bulls team principal Permane restricts Lawson and Lindblad on-track racing

Racing Bulls Formula 1 team principal Alan Permane confirmed he intervened to regulate on-track battles between drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad. Permane issued strict instructions following aggressive duels earlier this season, including notable incidents at the Red Bull Ring, Spa-Francorchamps, and the Hungaroring. While the team encourages competition, Permane stated that team members must prioritize collective race outcomes during critical phases, such as when tires are vulnerable or team points are secured. The drivers are currently on separate programs, with Lawson filling a seat at Red Bull following an injury to Isack Hadjar, while Yuki Tsunoda partners with Lindblad at Racing Bulls. Permane maintained that the drivers have generally performed well, helping the team hold fifth place in the constructors’ championship against Alpine.
