Racing Santander and Athletic Club agree on Julen Agirrezabala transfer

Racing Santander has reached a verbal agreement with Athletic Club to sign goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala. The Rentería-born keeper is anticipated to take over as Racing's number one after the departure of Jokin Ezkieta. Agirrezabala has been in search of regular playing time, having spent last season on loan at Valencia. Recent negotiations saw Athletic soften their initial financial demands, facilitating the deal. Both clubs are expected to finalize financial and contractual details before making an official announcement.
