Raiders adjust practice squad roster ahead of season opener against Dolphins

The Raiders finalized four roster changes at the start of the week as the team prepares for its season opener against the Miami Dolphins. The organization added defensive tackle Tim Keenan III and fullback/tight end Patrick Gurd to the practice squad. To create room for these additions, the team released defensive tackle Gary Smith and safety Devin Lafayette from the practice squad. Keenan, a seventh-round draft pick by the Rams, joins the roster as a reserve nose tackle option. Gurd returns to the team following his participation in the Raiders' training camp and preseason, where he primarily worked at fullback. Smith and Lafayette, both undrafted rookies, had previously rejoined the practice squad following their initial release during final roster cuts last week.
