Raiders depend on Kwity Paye to complement Maxx Crosby this season

The Las Vegas Raiders signed free agent defensive end Kwity Paye to a three-year, $48 million contract this offseason. General manager John Spytek invested heavily in the roster, with the team spending over $308 million during free agency. Paye is expected to provide a consistent pass rush opposite Maxx Crosby, a role the team has struggled to fill reliably since 2021. Throughout his five-year career, Paye has recorded 30.5 sacks and 37 tackles for loss. Defensive coordinator Robbie Leonard plans to implement a scheme that targets Paye’s athleticism and power. Malcolm Koonce remains on the roster to compete for playing time after returning from a 2024 injury.
