Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza values mentorship from Tom Brady

Summary

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza spoke about the invaluable mentorship he is receiving from NFL legend Tom Brady. Mendoza, the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, highlighted how Brady's guidance has been crucial as he adjusts to the demands of professional football after a successful college career at Indiana. The mentorship contrasts with Brady's own journey, having been a sixth-round draft pick in 2000, and Mendoza expressed the importance of viewing Brady as a resource rather than an idol. Alongside Brady, quarterback Kirk Cousins is also expected to mentor Mendoza as he navigates his rookie season with the Raiders.
