Following the reduction of the active roster to 53 players, two Las Vegas Raiders veterans have opted to change their jersey numbers. Defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi, who wore number 63 during the preseason, will switch to number 94. Fatukasi previously wore number 94 throughout his six seasons with the New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kicker Matt Gay also transitioned to a new number, moving from 14 to 4. This change follows the departure of Shedrick Jackson, who wore number 4 during the offseason but was released on Sunday. Neither Jackson nor the players who vacated their initial camp numbers remain in those spots as the team finalizes its lineup for the regular season. The Raiders have also set their initial 16-man practice squad following the roster cutdown process.
