Rain delays series finale between the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers

The Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers have delayed the start of their series finale scheduled for Sunday at Comerica Park. Heavy rain and inclement weather in southeast Michigan prevented the game from beginning at its planned 1:40 p.m. start time. Ground crews kept the infield covered with a tarp throughout the pregame as water pooled near the warning track. Although forecasts indicate potential breaks in the rain, the threat of incoming thunderstorms remains for the area. The two teams entered Sunday having split the first two games of the series. Officials have not yet established a new start time for the contest.
