Rain delays start of play on day 2 of Sri Lanka vs. India test

Rain has delayed the start of play on day two of the first test match between Sri Lanka and India at Galle International Stadium. The morning session is completely washed out, and there was no play at the beginning of the afternoon session. India finished day one at 288-2, with Devdutt Padikkal scoring 131 not out and Rishabh Pant unbeaten on 27. There is a possibility that play might resume later today if the rain subsides, with plans for approximately 43 overs to be bowled if conditions allow.
