The Los Angeles Rams bolstered their defense ahead of the 2026 season by acquiring defensive end Myles Garrett and cornerback Trent McDuffie. The defensive overhaul coincides with the return of eight-time All-Pro defensive lineman Aaron Donald, who ended a two-season retirement last month. The team aims to improve upon a 2025 campaign that ended with an NFC title game loss to Seattle. Head coach Sean McVay retains his primary offensive core, including Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and Davante Adams. The organization enters the year with high expectations, looking to secure a Super Bowl title following heavy investment in the defensive roster.

"Everybody knows the Los Angeles Rams are unafraid to go all-in when they believe they've got a team that can win a championship, and they've done it again after falling just short last winter. LA started the 2025 regular season impressively before flagging down the stretch, only to rally for two road playoff victories and a narrow loss to Seattle in the NFC title game. The NFL's best offense led by MVP Matthew Stafford barely failed to overcome the shortcomings of a defense that needed better players — and so in typical Rams fashion, they went out and paid a hefty price to get the best.
