The Los Angeles Rams designated cornerback Jaylen Watson as a critical X-factor for their 2026 season. This decision comes following a significant overhaul of their defensive backfield, including the acquisition of Watson, who previously played for the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2025, Watson set career highs, recording 64 tackles, two interceptions, and six pass breakups. His partnership with Trent McDuffie aims to enhance a pass defense that struggled last season. Improved performance from Watson could help the Rams close the competitive gap with the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC.
