Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula praises defensive tackle Ty Hamilton

Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula identified second-year nose tackle Ty Hamilton as a standout performer during the team's recent camp. Shula noted that Hamilton successfully responded to coaching challenges to play with increased speed and physicality after a rookie season defined by hesitation. The defensive tackle originally joined the Rams as a fifth-round draft pick in 2025 to provide disruption in the interior run defense. Hamilton appeared in 14 regular-season games and three playoff contests last year, recording 11 tackles. His development during the offseason earned him a spot on the current 53-man roster. Meanwhile, the Rams overhauled their defensive front this season by adding Myles Garrett and welcoming back Aaron Donald to the interior rotation.
