Rams place two on IR, sign Gilmore and Deal to roster

The Los Angeles Rams placed cornerback Zech McPhearson and linebacker Keir Thomas on injured reserve as of August 24, 2026. To fill these spots, the team signed cornerback Steven Gilmore and linebacker Devean Deal. Gilmore, the younger brother of Stephon Gilmore, previously played for the Detroit Lions, while Deal went undrafted in the 2026 NFL draft after playing at Tulane and TCU. Guard Justin Dedich, who was on the non-football injury list with a hand injury, passed a physical and may return to the team soon.
