Rams RB Dean Connors impresses, threatens Jarquez Hunter's roster spot
Summary

In a preseason matchup on August 15, Rams running back Dean Connors scored two touchdowns against the Chiefs, showcasing his skills as both a runner and receiver. Connors caught four passes for 29 yards and may challenge Jarquez Hunter for a roster spot, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2025 draft but had a lackluster rookie year. With established backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum ahead of him, Hunter's position appears tenuous, as he averaged only 3.9 yards per carry in the same game. The final two preseason games will be critical for both players as the Rams finalize their roster decisions.
